Our History
The adventure of Jean Le Dindon was initiated by the Ferlay family since 1977, whose roots in Chaudeyrolles run deep in passion and commitment. Jacques Ferlay, an adventurer with a passionate heart for enduro and exploration, was captivated by the untamed charm of Chaudeyrolles during his travels. Deciding to anchor his life there, he transformed an old historic farmhouse, creating not only a home for his family but also a meeting place for nature and gastronomy lovers.
Jacques’ House
Jacques’ House, the beginning of the adventure in 1978, is a living testimony to the history and traditions of Chaudeyrolles. Respectfully restored by Jacques over time, it symbolizes our commitment to preserving heritage and valuing local produce. The stones, woodwork, and every element of this house tell a story of resilience, innovation, and love for the terroir of Chaudeyrolles.
The Auberge Jean Le Dindon
Born from Jacques’ vision to share the unique flavors of our region, the Auberge Jean Le Dindon has become a culinary reference, recognized even beyond the borders of Haute-Loire. This place, where traditions meet gastronomic creativity, embodies our desire to offer you an authentic and memorable terroir experience. This inn closed its doors in 2015.
